Chinese Garden of Friendship, Sydney

Sunday, February 19, 2012

(Last week I was in Sydney, Australia to visit my sister who has been living there for the last 6 years. One of the locations I would like to mention from my great holiday is the Chinese Garden of Friendship. )

(Initiated by the local Chinese community to share their rich cultural heritage and celebrate Australia's 1988 Bicentenary, the Chinese Garden is the result of a close bond of friendship and cooperation between the sister cities of Sydney and Guangzhou in Guangdong Province, China. )

(Entering the gardens is like walking backwards in time into the quiet solitude of ancient Chinese architecture and it's relationship with nature. The garden combines the elements of water, plants, stone and architecture.)

(The Chinese Garden of Friendship is nestled at the south end of Darling harbour and a short walk from Chinatown. It's a great destination to spend some time in peace. You may want to take your book with you or you may just have a nice cup of Chinese tea while you are enjoying the scenery..)

Bu sevimli Water Dragon' a rastlarsanız sakın korkmayın çünkü görünüşünün aksine oldukça sıcakkanlı. Onu doğal ortamında izlemek çok zevkli..

(If you come across with this cute little water dragon, don't freak out.  It may be a cold-blooded animal however it is very warm and welcoming. It's great fun to watch it in it's natural habitat.)

Imperial Costume Hire

(You can also hire a traditional Chinese gown to make your trip even more eccentric. The gown I was wearing was a lushes green with the sacred bird Phoenix embroidered on it. Phoenix is a symbol of immortality and being reborn.)
