Kadıköy' de Carnaval!

Son bir yıldır  konser ve festivallerde yoğun ilgiyle karşılaşan Carnaval Corn Dog müşterilerinden gelen yoğun istek üzerine Kadıköy Barlar Sokağı' nda  Carnaval Büfe' yi  açtı. Böylece sokakta yeni, farklı ve güçlü bir alternatif olmuş oldu.

(When it comes to food, Carnaval Corn Dog has been one of the most popular alternatives for the last year. The crowd loves the taste of Carnaval Corn Dog at the festivals and concerts. Finally Carnaval Bufe opened its doors at Kadıkoy Barlar Sokagi by popular demand.)

 Kadıköy' e gidenler az çok bilir, yıllardır Burger King ve Rex Büfe gibi yerlerden sırf doymak için yemek yenir. Carnaval' da durum çok farklı. Buraya gittiğiniz zaman menüde patates kızartması dahil yediğiniz herşey daha önce yediğiniz hiç bir şeye benzemiyor.

(Regular visitors of Kadıkoy would know the fact that one would only eat to stuff, not so much to enjoy at places such as Burger King and Rex Bufe. However Carnaval Bufe is completely different from the rest, with its beautiful ambience and great tasting food. Even the good old fries taste better than you had before.)

Carnaval' ın menüsü de iç dekorasyonu gibi rengarenk. Kıyburger mi, corn dog mu, peynir topları mı yoksa extreme hot dog mu yesem derken en iyisi ben bir kaç kere daha geleyim diyorsunuz.

 Lezzetlerinin yanısıra fiyatlarının beklenenden ucuz oluşu da yüzde yüz mutluluğu garantiliyor. Geniş sos seçenekleriyle şimdiden Wasabi Mayo ve Carnaval Mayo fanları oluşmuş bile. Bir de Şutte'ye özel yaptırdıkları sosislerin çok güzel olduğunu söylemeden geçemeyeceğim.

(Carnaval has great variety when it comes to food. Kıyburger, corn dog, cheese balls or extreme hot dog. It is very hard to decide on what to eat therefore you might want to visit the place again and again just not to miss out on any alternatives.n  It's guaranteed you'll be %100 happy with the taste of the food and suprisingly reasonable pricing policy. Wasabi Mayo and Carnaval Mayo are the most popular options when it comes to special sauces that Carnaval Bufe offers. I have to mention how great the Sutte frankfurters taste, you have to try them out.) 

                                             What to Eat at Carnaval Bufe?

Kıyma, cheddar sos, karamelize soğan, yeşillik, domates ve Carnaval Mayo' lu Kıyburger çoktan favorim oldu.

(Kıyburger is already a favorite of mine with its delicious ground meat mixture, cheddar sauce, caramelized onion, lettuce, tomato and Carnaval Mayo.)

Bu peynir topları hakkında uyarıyorum. Çünkü ciddi anlamda bağımlılık yapıyor!

(WARNING: Cheese balls are highly addictive. I am serious they are very very addictive :))

Özel baharatlı Belçika patates kızartması  ve corn dog ları Türkiye' de bulup yemeniz zor çünkü yok.  Bu ve bunlar gibi bir çok farklı yemek deneyimi için Kadıköy' e yolunuzu düşürmenizi tavsiye ederim.

(Corn Dog and the fries made with specially seasoned Belgium potatoes are very unique flavors and you cannot find them anywhere else in Turkey. For a great experience for your taste buds, you should definitely visit Carnaval Bufe in Kadikoy as soon as possible.)

Neo- Noir Movies / Blade Runner

Uzun zamandır tekrar izlemek istediğim yıllar geçtikçe kültleşen bu film geçenlerde Visiual Culture dersinde kendisinden bahsetmemizle tekrar gündemime geldi. Reklam dünyası tarafından da dikkat çeken Blade Runner 2019 yılının uzak doğu kültürüyle entegre olmuş Los Angeles' ında geçiyor. Film-noir ve bilim-kurguyu birleştiren bir tekno-noir başyapıtı olan film 1982 yılında Ridley Scott' un yönetmenliğinde çekilmiş. Başrollerinde Harrison Ford ( Rick Deckard), Rutger Hauer (Roy Batty), Sean Young (Rachael), Edward James Olmos (Gaff) gibi isimler yer alıyor. Aynı zamanda Philip K. Dick ' in ''Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?'' kitabından uyarlanan yapıtın görüntü yönetmeni de Jordan Cronenweth.

(This cult movie has been mentioned in my Visiual Culture lessons the other day and how i decided to watch it for the second time. The movie takes place in 2019 Los Angeles where has been entegrated with the Far East culture. The movie is a techno-noir masterpiece which was made in 1982, it was directed by Ridley Scott.)

30 yıl öncesinden öngörülen geleceği dev firmaların domine ettiği filmde kullanılan mimari, ışıklandırma ve gölge aynı zamanda karanlık, tozlu ve umutsuz bir atmosfer çiziyor.

(The movie is about the predicted future in 30 years and it's about the big brands ruling the world. The architecturaldesigns, lightining, darkness and dusty enviroment imposes a hopless future.)

 Replicant adı verilen androidlerin avlanması üzerine gelişen olaylarda avcı Harrison Ford' un femme fatale replicant  Rachel' la yakınlaşması ve sevgilisi Pris' i öldürmesiyle  Nexus 6 ' lerin lideri Roy' la olan düşündürücü mücadelesi işleniyor. Çok fazla detaya girmeden filmin bir çok değişik açıdan ele alınabileceğini ve hala üzerinde tartışmalara sebep olacak handikaplarla dolu olduğunu söyleyebilirim.

(Harrison Ford is a hunter who tracks down the androids called Replicants. The movie revolves around the hunter who gets very close with a femme fatale replicant Rachel and kills Roy's girlfriend Pris. Without getting into details i can tell you the movie can be critised from a few diffrenet angles.)
